Heat stress is a serious workplace hazard to workers who are exposed to high-temperature or high-humidity work environments. Workers who are unable to cool themselves down may experience symptoms of heat stress which, left untreated, may lead to heat related illness.
Heat Stress Awareness is a practical online course that arms workers and employers with a basic understanding of the risk associated with exposure. Students will gain insight into heat stress related symptoms, illness, legal requirements, and control measures as well as an overview of the screening process for identification and assessment provided by the ACGIH.
